A village of great antiquity, Abyaneh boasts a continuous history of over 1000 years. Abyaneh is also known as the "red village", for the rose colored mud brick from which the homes are constructed.

Life here mirrors traditional Persia in both form and custom. A dialect of of old "Parsi" is still spoken here, a langauge commonly spoken throughout Persia during the Sassanian period.
